  Not necessarily no. That's limiting outside the simulation to what the simulation is inside.

  If outside the simulation is so vastly different to what we experience in the simulation then maybe there is no beginning and no end, no up and no down, in fact it could be void of dimension.

  Wild speculation obviously but equally as valid as any theistic hypothesis when it comes to assuming an alternative. The only advantage with simulationism is that it can answer every question thrown at it.

  But doesn't this point also work against theists inasmuch as the vastness of information required to create the Creator goes off the scale.

  An old argument I know but what it does do is to highlight the folly of the assumption that there is a 'creator' (as in god of the bible) based on the above argument.

  There are alternatives that don't include a creator, like simulationism. If the information programmed in matter is created externally then an alternative explanation could be that we live in a simulation.

  Therefore it is an assumption to believe in a creator when a simulation is an equally plausible explanation.

  Couldn't it also be possible that life is a simulation, which would negate the need of your god hypothesis to create this 'reality'?

  If everything is a hoax then nobody stands a chance of attaining truth.

  Recording of doorstop meeting with JWs

  i was alerted to the presence of jws in my street, so i grabbed my voice recorder and placed it by the front door.

  several minutes later there was a knock, i pressed "record" and opened the door to two jw women.

  the recording below runs for 25 minutes.

  The recording came out fine.

  Very interesting. It's amazing to the degree of dishonesty that they actually went to on very basic questions.

  What is interesting is that when you forced out of them the correct answers they took that as you being argumentative and then left on that basis.

  It's a shame you got distracted on the blood topic because what you had originally setup was a very good strategy. Your question to them was what would they do if they disagreed with the blood doctrine. In true JW style they avoided the question.

  just thought id let you all in on some info i found on northeasttruth.com.

  that magical moment where the moon blocks out the sun!

  but only just enough to perfectly cover the suns disc, whilst still allowing us to see the corona of light and other electromagnetic forces radiating from it.. this only happens because the moon diameter is exactly 1/400th the size of the suns and is positioned at exactly 1/400th of the distance between earth and the sun!so, when we see it from the surface of earth, we are in the only place this can ever be seen, at the only time it could ever happen.

  Indeed he was... an avid believer. He was also bonkers.

  Interesting fact about him was that he only ever laughed once in his life. I forget what the condition is called where people don't have the ability to laugh. Joseph Stalin is another one.

  Why are the atheists on this site so hateful?

  all us creationists try to do is offer true evidence that the one and only god is out there watching and looking down on us.

  we present that certain scientists know the truth about god and that he is everything that we see from trees, life, weather, the air we breath, and even the most simple molecules.

  but of course you atheists reject it because it is your nature to not be humble and see god because you want to rule your own life.
